this is some bull. This is shocking not cause he retired its WHEN HE RETIRED you morons. You don't retire a few weeks before the season starts. You wait until after the season. Ok leg hurts lets see in a few months how he feels. He just quit on the team after the nfl draft after all the free agency pickups. Its nonsense. He should of said he was done before the nfl draft.

This is a perfect example of Skip's inability to be objective. He brings up, yet again, that Stanford lost to Oklahoma St in the bowl game and explicitly trying to make it seem like Andrew Luck just didn't have enough of what it takes. Andrew Luck went 27-31 for over 300 yds with a touchdown with no great receivers on his team and Stanford was on the verge of winning until the kicker missed and then missed again in overtime. Two of Brandon Weeden's touchdowns were short passes to Justin Blackmon who broke a tackle and outran the defense. Weeden got him the ball but it was Blackmon who made the plays. The topic was about the shock of Luck's retirement and Skip used it as an opportunity to bash Luck's career and this is why I can't stand Skip and will never take him seriously as when he doesn't like a player he'll twist whatever he has to in order to make an argument and often times he starts bashing players on topics having nothing to do with their game. I like listening to Shannon and usually stop after he's done talking but I decided to listen and nope, Skip hasn't changed.

I've seen way worse situations with QBs their first several years and players fight through it. Brett Farve, Troy Aikman, etc. This guy made his millions and made a decision to take the money and run. I'm not blaming him, but it's not like the Colts had terrible personnel during his career. He simply doesn't love the game like the others did. He got married, having a child, and decided LATE that he couldn't handle it anymore. He will be fine--the Colts will suffer because no one would ever think a 29 year old star would back out 2 weeks before the season ended. Best of luck to Luck--you will be remembered for....not much

Lucks unwillingness to throw the ball away led to a plethora or turnovers and sometimes he took hits that he shouldn't have.

Indianapolis made the same mistakes and yes Andrew Luck was good enough early to mask that, but man, he couldn’t do it forever. Good luck to him & hopefully any injuries he continues to battle with aren’t such that he can’t enjoy his future.
